Skylight Training Center (SKY) occupies 65 beautiful acres in Oldham County, Kentucky. Known as “Louisville’s horse country” Oldham County is home to many major thoroughbred operations. Skylight’s atmosphere provides ideal conditions to focus on the development and progress of every individual horse, while letting the horse focus on the tasks asked of them. With a long history in the area as an excellent training facility, and ongoing improvements to all aspects of the training center, we continue to live up to that history. The addition of 70 stalls and the installation of the innovative Pro-Ride all weather training surface reflect our desire to remain an elite facility. Skylight offers a variety of services to accommodate many needs.
Skylight's facilities include: 148 stalls, a 6 furlong Pro-Ride track, 1/8 mile
indoor jogging ring, four covered hotwalkers, and multiple large turnout
paddocks. Skylight Training Center is located at U.S. 42, in Oldham
County, just 25 miles Northeast of downtown Louisville. Our training
center is less than two hours away from six racetracks:
Churchill Downs (30 min.), Keeneland (90 min.), Turfway Park (70 min.), Ellis Park, and River Downs.
